A Magical Sunset

I am consistently impressed by just how beautiful the summer sunsets have been here in Wisconsin so far. Yesterday I got off work by early evening and started snapping shots of how spectacular it was. Last night I also potted herb seeds that I am growing on the back porch. I am growing rosemary, basil, cilantro, parsley, and sage. I am super excited to cook with fresh grown herbs.

Julie has been busy planting a hedge around the Mann Road side of the property, right along the irrigation ditch. I think the hedge is a fast-growing hemlock shrub. The goal is to shield the house from wind since during winter it can get pretty crazy. I've been planting sunflowers like mad and the north side of our property should have an obscene number of sunflowers over there in late summer.
